When walking back to our hotel after finishing CalvinAyre.com EiG coverage in October of 2013, I looked over to my producer (Rob) and camera operator (Mani) and said, “I think my calling is Bitcoin”.
As a team that year we had already covered several Bitcoin events including Bitcoin London and Le Web, both featuring Bitcoin enthusiasts who were eager to educate the world on this groundbreaking technology. EiG 2013 attracted several professionals in the Bitcoin space as well, at the time with a focus on introducing Bitcoin as a payment system for iGaming operators.
What is Epic Legends?
After play, some looked to banks or regulatory bodies for oversight on total spend across platforms.
Within this shared model, there was a clear preference for personalised interventions over generic ones.
Tailored, behaviour-triggered messages were seen as more effective than generic warnings, but many participants simultaneously expressed mistrust towards operators collecting behavioural data.

For Wilson, the bigger point is not who else may follow, but why operators need these tools in the first place. Splash Tech was built to help operators make existing content portfolios work harder, using free-to-play experiences and a supplier-agnostic jackpot engine to drive engagement, retention, cross-sell and lifetime value across casino, sportsbook and third-party content.
Jackpots and free-to-play may be very different propositions, but Wilson judges both against the same unromantic measure: whether they produce value for the operator.
